Peter G.
Korytnyk's expertise
in intellectual property law includes over seven
years of service as a patent examiner at the
U.S. Patent and Trademark Office where he examined
U.S. and PCT patent applications in the mechanical
and electro-mechanical arts. This work included
pumps, compressors, electrical pump controls,
valves, as well as other related technologies.
After leaving the U.S. Patent and Trademark
Office, Mr. Korytnyk worked for many years as
an attorney at law firms in the Washington,
DC area. His practice has included opinion matters,
patent counseling, and the preparation and prosecution
of domestic, PCT, and foreign patent applications.
Mr. Korytnyk has successfully obtained patent
protection for various industry-leading clients
such as Applera Corporation, BMW, DaimlerChrysler,
Porsche, ABB, and Hitachi, as well as other
U.S., foreign, and multi-national corporations.

Arash Behravesh’s extensive experience
in drafting and prosecuting patent applications
in the chemical arts includes technical expertise
in metallurgy, organic chemistry as well as polymer
chemistry.
As an inventor with two patents, Mr.
Behravesh understands the needs of individual
inventors. Mr. Behravesh developed a unique
perspective on the intellectual property needs
of corporations by working both in-house and
as outside counsel for the same corporation.
Mr.
Behravesh counsels clients in patent and trademark
strategies for both domestic and foreign filings.
Further, Mr. Behravesh writes legal opinions,
prepares responses to office actions, and prepares
appeal briefs to the Board of Patent Appeals
and Interferences. Prior to his career in intellectual
property law, Mr. Behravesh worked as a Chemical
Engineer and Industrial Hygienist.

THOMAS P. CLOUSE

Tom Clouse's extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the chemical arts and biotechnology includes technical expertise in both small and large molecule therapeutics, and gene therapies.
Mr. Clouse was previously with the National Institutes of Health's Office of Technology Transfer, where he managed prosecution of over one hundred technologies with 14 contract law firms. Mr. Clouse also negotiated patent and biological material license agreements and inter-institutional agreements to bring technologies to the marketplace. In this capacity, Mr. Clouse negotiated agreements with large pharmaceutical companies, small and mid-sized biotech companies, and not-for-profit research institutions and universities.
Prior to joining the National Institutes of Health, Mr. Clouse was in private practice in the Washington, D.C. area. His practice was primarily focused on drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the U.S. and P.C.T. Mr. Clouse has also worked at a large local university general counsel's office, focusing on technology transfer and management.
Mr. Clouse has spoken to trade and industry groups and government agencies regarding license negotiations, licensing strategies, and export regulations. He is also Vice President of the Patent Lawyers Club of Washington, D.C.
Mr. Clouse counsels clients in patent and trademark strategies for both domestic and foreign filings.
Mr. Clouse provides legal opinions, writes patent applications, and prosecutes application in the U.S.P.T.O. and foreign patent offices. Mr. Clouse also drafts and negotiates license agreements on behalf of clients and counsels small companies and start-ups on intellectual property and business development issues.
