Steve Bishop

Steve Bishop’s expertise in intellectual property law includes twenty years of service as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office where he examined U.S. and PCT patent applications in the mechanical arts.  This work included electrical connectors, metal working, and wood working tools of all kinds, including drilling, milling, gear cutting, turning, and other methods and apparatus for mechanical manufacturing and assembly, as well as work holders, chucks and sockets, hand tools, and portable power tools.

After leaving the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Mr. Bishop has worked for several years as a freelance patent searcher, and has handled searches for mechanical and electromechanical devices and manufacturing methods and apparatus of all kinds.
